Decorations and christmas wishes

Christmas is nearly upon us. The house and tree are decorated (and mercifully free of tinsel despite the wishes of some members of the family!), see picture of my street- facing window, baubles discovered in a welsh antique shop.

At the moment I am living in the V neck tunic dress, (See ‘Merino dresses’), made from New Zealand merino it’s so warm and comfortable yet smart enough for these last minute coffee-and-catch-ups which seem spring up all over the place at this time of year. The gorgeous Ruffle Cardi and Wool Crepe Frill Zip Dress are also on my Christmas list this year.

I’d love to find a Diptyque candle under the tree; their ‘tuberose rouge’ is simply divine. Failing that having all the family together for a few days is a Christmas miracle in itself!

Lace Dresses!

We can’t believe how many phone calls and emails we’ve had about the lace dresses! The perfect solution to your Christmas party dress dilemma, there are two gorgeous styles to choose from; The Round Neck Dress is a soft scoop neck with frill edge and ¾ length sleeves and the Side Ruched Dress is a stunning high neck with ruching across the tummy and full length sleeves. Each comes with a matching slip dress and the fibre blend is a winning formula, fitted without being clingy, it has just the right amount of stretch so the lace is figure skimming and very flattering. The soft grey is beautiful but my personal favourite is the Tui blue colour which is inspired by a New Zealand bird- the Tui or Parson bird- which has wonderful blue and chocolate brown plumage.

Another plus with these dresses is they travel well- roll them up in a suitcase or holdall and they can be put straight on at the other end without steaming or ironing. Ideal for going away, less time getting ready means more time for the important things like catching up and a chilled glass of sauvignon blanc…!
